AIMMA ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS

Organization’s New Leadership Named at Long Beach CA Meeting

OCTOBER 23, 2006 --- BEDFORD HILLS, NY --- The American Independent Media Manufacturers Association (AIMMA) has announced a new slate of board members and officers. The new leadership was elected at the group’s recent meetings held October 9 and 10 in Long Beach CA.

Founded in 1987 as the AVDA, AIMMA is a senior executive-level organization of media manufacturing owners and operators. Membership is open to all North American media manufacturers regardless of size or medium manufactured. The association meets twice a year, and its recent event was held in conjunction with the MediaTech Showcase.

The AIMMA meeting agenda included educational sessions focused on business strategies, new technologies and best practices. A combination of invited speakers, members and member panel discussions covered a variety of topics including PEOs, disc quality, next-generation high definition formats, and licensing issues. Presentations were also made by the event’s hospitality sponsors, GE Plastics, M2 and Polyline.

"Our recent AIMMA meeting in Long Beach was excellent.  The entire atmosphere was positive about the future of recorded media and the future of the AIMMA.  Based upon discussions held at this meeting, this group will be doing some exciting, forward thinking things in the next year that will have a great impact on our industry,” reported Jad Porter, outgoing president of AIMMA.

Three new board members were elected and officers named.  New board members Melodie Gee of Inoveris, Patrick Reagan of Video Services Group and Mary Reeves of Spinergy will join serving members Doug Franzen of Evatone and Bill Dudley of Immodicus.

The board elected the following officers:
President:  Ray Zerrusen, OEM
Vice President:  Melodie Gee, Inoveris
Vice President for Membership: Bill Dudley, Immodicus
Secretary: Michael Weiss, Video Labs Corporation

Treasurer: Joseph Barber, Cinemagnetics

Mike Baker of Syncronicity will assume the position of Treasurer effective January 2007, replacing Mr. Barber who has served as the association’s treasurer for seventeen years. Jad Porter of Design Video Communications had previously served as AIMMA President in 2006 and will continue on the board for one year.

AIMMA member companies comprise the majority of the non-theatrical replication and duplication capacity in the North American market. The organization was established to advance the interests of the media manufacturing industry and its members through collective advocacy, education and networking. All members are required to be in compliance with and not violate licensing, intellectual property rights and intellectual property laws applicable to their business.

The next AIMMA meeting will be held May 16-17 2007 in Long Beach. For additional information about AIMMA, visit www.aimma.org.
