A History of Pursuing Mutual Interests - A Future of Collective Support
Membership is open to all North American media manufacturers, duplicators, mastering houses, printers, multimedia and graphics developers, post production companies and web development companies regardless of size. In order to facilitate valuable exchange, membership is limited to owner, principal or executive leadership levels. Annual membership fees are tiered based upon each member company’s revenues.
As a peer-to-peer organization, AIMMA provides a forum for interaction among its member companies to share common industry concerns, challenges and techniques. Networking is a major component of AIMMA membership. Members continuously communicate, trade services, and collectively solve problems with other companies within the organization.

Vendors, members, or industry authorities are invited to look strategically at future technologies and markets and assess for the members their potential impact on the industry.
These are usually interactive sessions characterized by lively discussion and debate. Discussions have focused on China Trade, NAFTA, DVD Licensing, Raw Material Supply, Changes in the Freight Industry.
Acknowledged experts in management are invited to provide CEO level management assistance.
Recent programs have included Managing in a Commodity Marketplace, Excellence in Manufacturing Management and Ethics in Management.
Members are vitally interested in this issue and discussions on this topic are a regular part of each meeting. Interest is driven by a desire to enhance the quality of goods and services available to the North American marketplace.

Periodically, AIMMA assesses its membership to determine aggregate economic impact within the industry at large.
Vendors debuting new technologies, standards or providing objective market overviews may be invited to present their work to the membership.
Marketing to members is not allowed. The presentation must meet aimma's educational standards. Recent overviews have included D-VHS, Media & the Internet and New Packaging Technology.
When statutory or regulatory issues that are of interest to members such as environmental issues affecting packaging, postal rate increases or more sophisticated rights issues arise, members work together with council to advance the interests of the membership collectively.
AIMMA seeks constantly to educate its members by reviewing and studying industry best practices with an eye toward enhancing excellence in the media manufacturing industry.
Examples include: Media Packaging & Industry Recycling Efforts, Terms and Conditions, Master Library Policies, Credit Management Policies, Consolidated Purchasing, Information Management Systems.
Myriad issues surrounding copyright, trademark and patents, as well as issues that inhibit free and open competition are of vital interest to members.
The organization has retained, throughout its history, world class legal counsel on the issues that are of interest to its members individually and collectively.
Legal review and oversight on these and specific issues of interest to members are reviewed at each meeting.
